Is your office a no-spin zone?


The New York Times recently published an interview with Shawn H. Wilson, president of Usher’s New Look Foundation, about the leadership strategies he uses to create an efficient and cohesive team. One of the more seminal lessons he’s learned is that if you discover your teammates or employees making excuses or bending the truth, even a little, you may want to make your office a “no-spin zone.” This encourages respectful honesty and, in the end, strengthens the team, office, and organization.
