Real Wages Down and a Stagnant Employment Rate.


The Labor Department has released second quarter employment and wage reports, and, as you might guess, the numbers are not encouraging. Our economy is adding jobs, but the trend is erratic, growing one month and stagnating another. Aggregate demand is also down, providing little incentive for companies to add employees.
